Dholera SIR: The Most Aspiring Project in Gujarat
The ambitious project Dholera SIR in Gujarat will set a benchmark for upcoming infrastructural projects in Dholera Smart City. It is shaping how future cities will form the foundation for developed economies in India.

Location: Near industrial cities of Ahmedabad, Surat, and Bhavnagar
AECOM (American MNC) is responsible for designing the Dholera SIR region and managing its overall development.

Wipro has been appointed as the ICT (Information Communication and Technology) Consultancy Company, handling:

Smart city applications
City-wide networks
Data centers and dashboards
IBM and CISCO are contributing to technological advancements in the smart city.
The government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cerestra Ventures to establish the Gujarat Special Education Region (G-SER), covering 5000 acres. It includes:
University district
School district
Discovery district
Innovation district
Student housing and sports facilities
The first Greenfield Airport will be built on 1426 hectares of land. The aim is to ease congestion at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
Phase 1: First Runway – 30 million passengers
Phase 2: Second Runway – 20 million passengers
The development of Dholera SIR is divided into phases:

Town Planning 1 (51.4 sq. km)
Town Planning 2 (102.34 sq. km)
Development Phase 2:
Town Planning 3 (102.34 sq. km)
Town Planning 4 (66.6 sq. km)
Development Phase 3:
Town Planning 5 (74.75 sq. km)
Town Planning 6 (67.33 sq. km)
Some notable villages within DSIR include:

These villages are located inside the DMIC corridor, closer to the Ahmedabad-Dholera-Bhavnagar 10 Lane Express Highway, within walking distance from government buildings.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is working on the activation area of Dholera SIR, focusing on:
Establishing gas pipelines
Internet connectivity
Electricity lines
Sewage treatment plant (STP) with 10 million liters per day capacity

Torrent Power Substation
These projects will accelerate growth and set high standards for sustainability.
